The company doctor thinks you can return to work, but you don't agree. What can you do then?
- First, talk to the company doctor again. Ask why he thinks you can return to work and tell why you think you can't yet.
- If your doctor or specialist advises you to take it easy, ask the company doctor to contact your practitioner.
- If this doesn't help, you could seek a second opinion from another company doctor. He or she will recheck the case and give their own opinion. Asking for a second opinion, is a right you always have.
- If both company doctors say you can return to work and you don't think so, you can also request an expert opinion from UWV. This costs 100 euros.
- But beware: because until that advice is available, you and your employer must abide by the company doctor's advice. So above all, keep talking to your employer if things really don't work out.
