Stijn Blom has been practising as an employment lawyer since 2018. He spent five years at the largest law firm in the southern Netherlands. In 2023, he founded Arbeidsadvocaat.nl. Stijn’s approach is modern, with a strong emphasis on preventing legal issues. When that’s not possible, his focus shifts to finding pragmatic solutions.
Stijn advises companies on matters such as employment contracts, employment conditions, collective labour agreements (CLAs), organisational changes, employee participation law, restructurings, business transfers, and the legal position of statutory directors. He also assists employees and directors in dismissal cases and other employment disputes.
Stijn has worked as an in-house counsel for large companies and educational institutions on several occasions, which has further strengthened his solution-focused way of working.
Stijn studied at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where he completed the selective Master’s programme in Employment Law in 2017. In 2022, he successfully completed the postgraduate specialisation programme PALA at Erasmus Academie (Erasmus University Rotterdam).
By combining his experience in employment law with a strong affinity for legal tech and digitalisation, Stijn positions Arbeidsadvocaat.nl to practise law in an innovative way. Traditional expertise is paired with modern solutions to create impact and deliver added value.
Stijn Blom is a member of specialty association Vereniging Arbeidsrecht Advocaten Nederland (VAAN), the Vereniging Jonge Arbeidsrecht Advocaten (VJAA) and of the Vereniging voor Arbeidsrecht (VvA).
