What is mediation?

Mediation means that the parties enter into a discussion with each other under the supervision of an independent third party: a mediator. The starting point here is voluntary, so parties must voluntarily agree to have their dispute (initially) settled by a mediator. In labor law, mediation often comes into play in the event of a disrupted employment relationship (g-ground).
