What is the i-ground?
The i-ground(article 7:669 paragraph 3 sub i Civil Code) is a relatively new ground for dismissal, which, since January 1, 2020, makes it possible to combine two or more unsupportable grounds for dismissal into a single valid or reasonable ground for dismissal. The i-ground cannot be used to combine the a-ground, b-ground and/or the f-ground, but it can be used to combine/merge the c-ground, d-ground,e-ground, g-ground and the h-ground. In the case of the i-ground, the various grounds that are not deemed valid are weighed up and the subdistrict court judges whether these grounds and circumstances together mean that the employment contract should still be dissolved. All circumstances must be taken into account.
