What is secondment?
Secondment is an arrangement in which an employee is employed by the staffing agency but is seconded to another company. This involves three parties: the lending party (the staffing agency), the employee, and the company that hires the employee through the staffing agency (the borrowing party). The employment contract is entered into with the staffing agency, and the employee receives their salary from the agency. Secondment can be a convenient short-term solution for the client company when an employee in its own organization needs to be temporarily replaced or when an increase in workload is expected (for example, during a recurring busy period).
