What is mediation?

Mediation involves the parties engaging in dialogue with one another under the guidance of an independent third party: a mediator. The basic principle here is voluntariness; therefore, the parties must voluntarily agree that their dispute will (initially) be resolved by a mediator. In employment law, mediation is often used when there is a disrupted employment relationship (ground g).
